1. When it comes to posting Crash Bandicoot fanart we'd usually list Activision as the copyright holder since they've owned the franchise. BUT, with Microsoft having bought Activision/Blizzard, they would in theory inherit the ownership of the franchise. The question is; WHO IS ENTITLED TO THE COPYRIGHT OF THE FRANCHISE? ACTIVISION OR MICROSOFT? Who are we supposed to list next to that copyright logo? I think a lot of people would like to know this one.
2. This one's more out of curiosity. I'd once posted a picture that features an unreleased character from Crash Twinsanity named Foofie. Does copyright even apply to that character? And if so, then who with?
But from what I was able to gather via a google search, is that since Activision is now by Microsoft that also applies to their franchises. So I think it is safe to assume that Microsoft is entitled to the copyright. But if you want to be safe/courteous you can also include Activision in that information
But I also would advice you to look it up yourself. By typing 'who owns crash bandicoot' in google you can get pretty far.
And if someone else wished to chime in and correct me, that would be appreciated

The Google search seems inconclusive. Yeah it brings up an article that states "Xbox finally owns Crash...", but that could simply be a case of media outlets taking information out of context and in some cases jump the gun as so many of them do (I even saw a case of this pretty recently).
Not to mention the Google search page brings up the question "Does Microsoft now own Crash Bandicoot?" and brings up "Activision still owns Crash Bandicoot" as the answer which seems like a closed case until you look at the source and find it was referring to a rumour in 2013 that Sony bought Crash from Activision. Stupid AI.
Yes, it does seem inconclusive. I also came across across a wiki page regarding franchises owned by microsoft. It did list Spyro and such but not specifically crash. But i am not sure how much I can really trust wikipedia.
Include both names in copyright can't hurt i suppose
